connection help regarding max delays

well sky was fiddling with my connection few weeks back i forget why but they rang me when i wasnt in left a message and i said i should ring back

i kind of forgot until now well i noticed my ping is really bad as in its like 90 now more or less

if i tell them to put the max delays to 8 how much will it effect my speed heres my stats from test socket

Connection Speed 4094 kbps 415 kbps
Line Attenuation 46.0 db 25.1 db
Noise Margin 7.4 db 18.4 db

also note the line attenuation raised by two since they fiddled

your interleaved a lot more than normal, probably because your line isnt very good condition, your getting poor speeds as it is with interleaved on a higher max delays setting, so if sky was to lower your max delays to a 8/8 setting your speed would probably drop even more, 4 meg is poor for your line attenuation, your should be getting 6 meg atleast.

1. he's on adsl2+, hence the change in attenuation
2. chances are you're already on a delay of 8ms and it's the line code giving issues

either way you'll need to speak to CST

just got off the phone was very helpful they increased my upstream and my downstream and set my line to max delays to 8

Line Attenuation 44.0 db 25.0 db
Noise Margin 8.1 db 11.0 db

not from the test socket but i have a pre-filterd faceplate doesnt make much diffrence
my pings a steady 30 now im quite happy with the result the man got his supervisor and he sorted it out
