Please check my line stats from my Netgear V1 DG834GT Router for me
Hi, I just wondering if someone could tell me if these stats are ok, are there too many errors?
At the moment, its currently set-up exactly the same as my Final ADSL Plan A except my bedroom & living room has been upgraded to Sky+ HD boxes.

Re: Please check my line stats from my Netgear V1 DG834GT Router for me
As Smiffy says, but looking at your first posted set displays up time of only 17 mins for WAN, LAN ans WLAN.
Your second set of stats displays uptime of "Uptime 1074.95 969.34
Wan up 43.95 28.99. Where these take at the same time?

Re: Please check my line stats from my Netgear V1 DG834GT Router for me
Thanks very much, Smithy99! Ah! I think I get it now, its nothing to do with the state of the BT wiring or what type of BT Master socket its currently using, e.g. latest BT NTE-5A master socket type or non-NTE5, etc, its all only to do with how far are you (distance) from the Exchange (Line Attenuation) and Noise Margins. As long as you have sorted your interial wiring properly and using the Microfilter(s) correctly, then you're ok!
I must be one of the lucky ones!! As some people say that I've got a good connection on what look like a shoddy line!!! Because here is my current old fashion non-NTE5 LJU2/2A PABX BT Master IDC socket, inside of Non-NTE5 Socket, junction box and external wiring another pic of external wiring going up outside my house (the one on the left hand, going from the Black BT box to the top floor, shaping like a huge U turn turn of a shape, wiring going up - black cable) The Grey box is for Virgin Media by the way (ex-Virign Media).
Its TOO OLD FASHIONED, COMPLETEY OUT OF DATE and its completely full of corrosion on every following items: - Note that old wiring is more susceptible to interference and faults according to this web site
- Main Distribution Point / Demarcation Point - External NTE
- Drop Wire
- Junction Box - BT 80A Junction Box (3 way IDC to 3 way screw connectors)
- BT Interior White wire - All the cable used by engineers is CW1308 standard, 0.5mm copper conductors
- Non-NTE5 Socket (LJU2/2A) - Latest NTE5 Master socket with bell filter (Openreach)
Its been installed from 1973!! BT Engineer called Tony came to my house to check it out, last year, March but he didn't seem to care, couldn't wait to leave my house faster enough. Even he knew the wiring was too old, when he check out my junction box, the cable on the right snapped, but what he did? He just joined a little of new wire to the old cable, so that the wire connected to back to my old junction box.
The same thing happened to him again when he went outside my house to check my external phone wiring, he just did another small joining a small new wire to the old cable job again, and he says it fine and I won't charge you £116 fee because your wires did snapped twice, so I let you off and left.
I'm 965 metres away from Maida Vale Exchange or 2.2 km away from the exchange. My Exchange Information as follows:
Exchange: Maida Vale BT Code: WEWMAI
Location: Maida Vale W9 1QD
Distance:- Direct: 0.59 mi
(appx)*By Road: 0.8 mi
Service Enabled On
ADSL Enabled: March 31, 2000

You mean the picture of my basic Stats and detail stats? Then yeah, but I take a screen shot of the basic stats first, then switched different browser window / tab to record of my detail stats. Or maybe I rebooted my router after it has been running for 5+ hours using wireless connection and I realised that its wrong to use wireless connection to get the stats. Here is my previous stats from last night.

Re: Please check my line stats from my Netgear V1 DG834GT Router for me
Blimey ! I was only querying the stat times because errors shown for 5 hours are not bad.
ES: 54 1= eroded seconds
SES: 2 0 = severe eroded seconds
UAS: 19 19281= Unavailable seconds
AS: 18487=
Still nothing to worry about
Even better if there over the high hours shown in details. Uptime 18513.78 16634.24

But what this mean? Max(Kbps): 18712 864
Does it mean that my phone line will support the new upto speed around 20MB mark? I thought DLM is starting on my line (but not yet), but when I checked Broadband section just now on My Sky profile, it says as follows:
Your Sky Broadband & Speed Estimate
You have Sky Broadband Unlimited which offers a maximum download speed of up to 20Mb
The estimate provided to you at purchase for the maximum download speed your line can support was 10-20Mb.

I don't know what you are worried about, you stats are very good. Don't worry about the few errors that you see, nearly all lines have some errors.
