BTW what is the default sky SNR is it 7db? I think DMT assume 3db Snr for 4.2mb

Dont Sky allow 3db noise margin?, before I could set my own target noise margin....

Officially no as the setting is locked out, but if you flash with James' CU modified Sky firmware, you can. Available here -

It may also be possible using the DMT tool but I have never used it so I don't know for sure.
Remember if you don't have a very good line, you will get bad results, as it will keep dropping.

okay wicked, I am going through DLM now should I be worried my connection speed is all over the place.
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3068 kbps 544 kbps
Line Attenuation 57.5 db 37.7 db
Noise Margin 8.2 db 13.5 db
i know i can get at least 796kbps upstream, and at least 3700kbps downstream. I used to sync at 4500kbps with UK Online LLU.

okay thought I would update you guys my speed is quite poor now
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3070 kbps 468 kbps
Line Attenuation 57.5 db 37.8 db
Noise Margin 6.0 db 12.5 db
I'm thinking of changing the router to see if I can get a better speed, BTW how Do i know if DLM has finished?!!? I used to get 3700kbps on sky MID!!
