Drop in speed when 2 computers connect
I'm having an issue where if I'm on my computer the internet runs fine but as soon as my son starts to play his xbox the internet becomes unbearable slow. We are both on a wireless connection to a standard sky netgear router. My downstream connection speed is just under 16mb and line noise is very low, anyone have any ideas?
I'm running windows vista on the pc.

Re: Drop in speed when 2 computers connect
As advised, chances are that running two wireless connections is topping out the wireless bandwidth available.
You could try changing channels to see if that helps but connecting one or both pieces of equipment via ethernet would be the best option.
If you have a choice, wire the Xbox, it will improve gaming dramatically by reducing lag.
