Re: (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users
We live in a very large conurbation - every exchange in our area has now got LLU with other providers and all have ADSL2+ WBC, all that is except our exchange. Our local councillor has even approached BT and requested a switchover date and the response he has had is - we have no date at present though unlikely to be before 2012 at the earliest.

Hi your councillor should have contacted the local MP`s and then work together in writing a petition then informing the Media that the MP`s were going to lobby the petition on Bt`s understanding of rural exchanges. (I think you will find that all political and other parties will want to give their support)

Re: (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users
Just look at this result from BT Speedtester taken at 16:30 today
Download speedachieved during the test was - 384 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :8128 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 7150 Kbps
The same test taking at 08:15 this morning
Download speedachieved during the test was - 6429 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :8128 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 7150 Kbps
That is on an un-congested exchange and I am 465 yards from the exchange (SamKnows).
Thanks Sky - that's one hell of a bit of traffic management.

At one time it was said of Labour diehards in Scotland, that if you pinned a red rossette on a donkey's backside, they would vote for it. But times have changed, the red Clyde is no more.
To get back on topic, I don't know why Sky continue to sign users up to Connect, when it is loosing so much money. There was a case when it was a temporary thing while exchanges were enabled, but I don't think that applies now. They should take the bull by the horns and increase the charge to one that is financially viable, giving those who want to leave the opportunity to do so without penalty.

Hi I remember now. Excellent way of giving out Justice I was Stationed South Queenferry under the forth rail bridge. Back to the issues I think a lot of Connect Customers are paying £5 because they have been told that their exchanges are being upgraded to LLU some have been told this over two years ago. The only thing is are Sky going to upgrade or not?

Hi I think two years ago a lot of exchanges were hoping to have Sky LLU installed. So if whoever is still only paying the £5 I would have thought that the exchanges that were not going to have LLU installed Sky would have put the payment up to £17.
