Re: (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users
Thanks, ive had a good read, and its shocking to be truthful. They should just knock the service on the head until they can get it right. I didnt get any problems on plusnet, but we always think the grass is always greener! but with sky connect it certainly isnt!!

Re: (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users
For a complete record always date and time your tests.
Your speed is below the acceptable rate so you have a good reason for leaving.

Thank you for contacting Sky Help Centre.
To ensure we provide a sustainable quality broadband service to our customers, we continuously monitor and efficiently manage the Sky Network as a whole. To do this, during peak times (from 5pm to 12am each day), we may slow down the speed that all Sky Broadband Connect customers can get on certain applications which we consider use up a lot of bandwidth (for example peer-to-peer and newsgroups) and which have a negative affect on other customers There are no restrictions in place for applications such as browsing, email, streaming, instant messaging and VOIP during peak times. We do not put restrictions on our network outside of peak times.
If you wish to monitor your usage to ensure that you are not being excessive, you can download a Broadband Bandwidth Monitor from several sources on the internet. This will keep track of how much you use your broadband connection, and help ensure that you do not go over any monthly limits. Please note that if you have multiple computers, then you will need to install the monitor on each computer.
Please note that Sky does not endorse any specific bandwidth monitor.

I hope you obtained your MAC before you told them you wanted to cancel, if they cancel before you get it you could have problems.
