Google Adverts not appearing.
When I'm in work and on different ISP all ads appear in eBay for example.
But at home on my SKY broadband, nearly all adsense and google ads in general do not appear.
Going from 'not found' to long winded paragraphs of obviously non working links.
Is there a problem with SKY anf google ads. I need to know.
This is getting irriatating...is on new new netbook AND my old laptop.
Anyway of fixing it at my end...or is it a known issue with SKY?
Thanks.Sammy Davis Jr: "When God made me He took one step back and hit me up the face with a shovel."

Re: Google Adverts not appearing.
Are you using Firefox with adblock enabled? Are you really worried about not seeing adverts?

Thanks
Adblock is new to me.
I only knew about blocking pop-ups.

Re: Google Adverts not appearing.
Adblock+ is usually the first thing I add when installing Firefox, I thought everyone did.

Re: Google Adverts not appearing.
I'm not massively bothered by not seeing adverts. But it's nearlt all of them on most sites.
It gives the impression that my firefox has got problems.
No I don't have adblock on in my add-ons. This appeared randomly without me changing settings.
I see a few people on net have the same problem too, but there is never a reason why. If no one on sky broadband gets it too...it's just plan weird. Since mid january my firefox fails to connect with any google based advert banners or adsense.

We use it so as to improve our end user experience, as in we can see where people visit our pages and from what part of the site they did so from.
Most websites would use this as it is free, and shows website owners which part of their content is valuable etc
Can you see the Google ads on here? Only if you are not logged in though.~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Re: Google Adverts not appearing.
Only in places like ebay and other famous sites that have google banner ads and other adverts.
I go down a long page browsing...and my browser redirects to googleanalytics without me triggering it to go there. Now that IS an annoyance.
Alot of the ads appear as code instead of the usual flash animation.
Sure I don't miss them...but it gives the impression something is NOT working somewhere. Thought it was my proxy settings...now I'm lost.Sammy Davis Jr: "When God made me He took one step back and hit me up the face with a shovel."

Re: Google Adverts not appearing.
Are you running a Beta version of 3.1? This might account for the odd behaviour. Have you tried IE, if so, does it behave the same?

Re: Google Adverts not appearing.
I have Firefox 3.0.6. Never have used the BETA.
I never use IE7 but alas it has the same problems.
This makes the problem more baffling. LOL

Re: Google Adverts not appearing.
Normally behaviour like this would point to malware, but if it happening on 2 separate machines this is unlikely, unless the machines are networked and the malware has been passed on. You could try running Malwarebytes just in case you have picked something up.
It may also be a corrupted Host file, so you could try downloading a safe Host file and see if that helps. You can read instructions and download a safe file from here-
Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts File
Even if it is not the cause, everyone should use a safe Hosts file as an extra layer of security, it is worth doing for that alone.
