      BT or Sky

Hi, when I moved to this house (10 yrs ago) there was just a BT line connected.

Later I had (NTL / Virgin ) phone and broadband package which I still have.

I now also have Sky +

I would now like to upgrade to Sky HD with the phone and broadband package as well.

What is the best way to get the neccessary BT phone connection back or would I be better just upgrading to Sky HD and get the broadband and phone from BT.

Any views on which would be better quality and/or cheaper?

At the moment I seem to be paying a lot to Virgin and I hardly use the land line.

      Thanks, John

      Re: BT or Sky

When I moved into my place I had to take a BT line (for 12 months) and after that got it managed by BT for line rental billing as well as call billing (SKY Talk) and broadband. I think the cost of the sky BB and phone services are very good and the speed of my net access is much better than when I was on Virgin net.

Having said that, I believe that now or soon (according to some of the other threads) you may be able to purchase a line directly from SKY, depending in which area you live. If that is the case, you may want to hold out for a little while and see what happens over the coming months before making a move.
