Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
Just about every ISP has peak hours and they are genrally from about 5pm onwards, some untill the early hours.
That said, Connect is not running how it should and that seems more to do with the fact that Sky are not managing peoples usage properly and letting some users clog up the system.

@Smiffy71
Don't blame you at all, as I have said before I would not recommend Connect to my worst enemy.
I don't know why Sky keep on signing people up to Connect, they cant be making much out of it, certainly not enough to cover the bad publicity they are getting about it.

Hi it is Sky that is doing this not Bt at the beginning I thought it was Bt but it is Sky see below
To ensure we provide a sustainable quality broadband service to our customers, we continuously monitor and efficiently manage the Sky Network as a whole. To do this, during peak times (from 5pm to 12am each day), we may slow down the speed that all Sky Broadband Connect customers can get on certain applications which we consider use up a lot of bandwidth (for example peer-to-peer and newsgroups) and which have a negative affect on other customers There are no restrictions in place for applications such as browsing, email, streaming, instant messaging and VOIP during peak times. We do not put restrictions on our network outside of peak times.
sparkey I thought mine was low but yours if there was a prize for the lowest it is unbelievablewhat are they playing at

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
quick note - it's not Sky telling people it's BT doing the shaping - it's agents ignoring the internal information telling them it's Sky!!!
the number of cases i see a day getting logged to BT when it's nothing to do with them is staggering...-------------------------------------------

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
If you can get it then Sky Mid, Max are both LLU and suffer no capacity issues and have an unlimited download allowance.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
@ steve16751 It was that slow I couldn't pay a bill online the secure server was timing out. What is BT broadband like, I know it £8 a month more but these speeds are getting worse and worse, I even went to the next door neighbour as I know there have sky broadband and his download speed was 3 gb the same time mine was 7kbps you tell me.
I don't use peer to peer kids may do utube but apart from that it nothing
