Thats the problem it's not just those hours it's all day long.
As I like my online gaming I like to play most days when off work which I cannot do for certain games I like playing online
Pretty glad Resident Evil 5 has just come out as the connection can handle co-op play on that just.
According to most sites I should be hitting 1.5Mbps
Now BT said that when I joined them but I ended up getting over 2mbps
Sky said I would be getting 3.5Mbps I'm hardly hitting 0.5kbsp on Sky all day.
This is what Ive been getting since the first time I posted
I'm not gonna pay £10-17 for that when it's not fitting my needs.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
Hello,
I joined Sky Connect some 10 days ago, all seemed well, speeds during the day were the fastest I had seen 7000 Kbps + then in the evening it would go down to maybe 150 Kbps. Tonight speedtest.net cannot even run a test.
I spoke to Sky several times there Customer Support was really good, they listened and went and tried to find out, initially they told me to wait for 10 days for the settling down period, this I did, and like I said the speeds I get now are non existent. This evening I rang them, told them about you fellas and what you have all been saying and they said yes there is an issue with BT slowing things down, they were aware of this forum and all that is on here is correct, they have no intention of updating any more exchanges (Sky don't) so therefore I have sadly had to obtain my MAC code and consider changing to the Company (BT) who have done all this.
Surely in this day and age this is a disgusting ploy from one national company to affect the customer base of another national company and should not be accepted. If you go to the BT website they even mention change to us from Sky and see super duper speeds. It takes the proverbial biscuit and is completely disgraceful.
Cheers
Smiffy

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
Well whatever it is, it is unusable, and so I am changing, just looked and BT with calls and line rental and unlimited is only around a fiver more, so probably will go with that, still pretty miffed. If Sky are doing that then they deserve all the problems that they are going to get, you could slow peoples usage at certain times but to do so at 8:30 in the evening is completely ridiculous. As an aside Sky HD is superb an the fella on the phone told me about 3DTV and that sounded quite cool, 3 years or so away though.
