What principle? I'm not sure on your motives to stay, especially as you were told your exchange was being upgraded and now it isn't.
Are you still paying the £5 or has it gone upto the £17 (I think you only get the £5 deal for 12 months or until the exchange is done, whichever comes first).

Yes it is still £5 If it was £17 I would not have joined until Sky had enabled LLU in NEWAS. I said this near the beginning of the thread when someone said they were on their second year awaiting LLU in their exchange. The principle is Sky agent said months said could not give a date it is now the twelfth month I joined the beginning of April I want to see what happens on Aprils Bill (six months deal £17 to £5 originally but still going )

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
Well I thought I'd let you all know what progress I've made. After sending my second letter to sky I recieved 2 repies today. One saying they had tried to contact me, which is rubbish and another offering me £10 compensation. Obviously not what I was looking for.
Phoned them up and have managed to get them to agree with cancelling my contract. Just have to wait for the official letter and a mac code and hopefully I can leave what has been a nightmare for the last 2 1/2 months.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
My contract officially expired 2 weeks ago
so am gonna see how the service pans out for the next while as i dont have time atm with work to argue and search for a new ISP, altho Newnet are on my list and maybe O2 if they sort their issues, but sadly its gotta be a BT Stream package as LLU will not be available for some time in my area!

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
Well after months of wrangling, I just by chance stuck my phone number into Skys system for checking broadband, and what should pop up?
Congratulations you can get Base, Mid, or Max.....
I'm currently on Connect. Looks like they're increased capacity of my exchange or at least sorted something out. Not quite sure what. So currently on hold now to to Sky to try and get migrated to Mid. Bit annoyed they didn't email me.
Ok, on call as we speed, and badaboom. Bob's your uncle on we go to mid. RESULT.
Am thinking I may bump it up to Max. Does it make sense to try everything on Mid first and then move up in a couple of weeks?
My god I'm so chuffed. Keep the faith people, stuff is clearly happening even if they're arent bothering to communicate it to us.

Yep try it and see what your stats are like, you can easily upgrade but downgrading is often not as straight forward.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
Yep it's a new thing that has recently been introduced to give customers a choice.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
Wow, I'm impressed by Sky. Although I hold a significant number of BSkyB shares so hopefully this will benefit me in more than one way in the long run.
Quick q re moving to Mid, how longs the process from Connect, guys on phone said anything from 4mins - 4hours.
Secondly, the problem that prevented me from moving to Mid previously was no free slots/capacity at an exchange that had already been Sky LLU'd. I've asked to move to Mid for the time being. If for whatever reason the exchange is closed and there's no more capacity will this prevent me from moving up to Max, or is it a case of once you're in the LLU club the Skys (wahay) the limit?
cheers all
