Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
IANTE has EVERYTHING to do with these posts.
My posts were, possibly, a poor attempt to burst the'professional' bubble of someone who professed, openly, to be a 'professional' placing the rest of us in a backwater without the tools to cope with his/her 'professional' expertise.
Hope this explains my attempt to burst this particular big headed 'bubble'?Last edited by yunorisson; 27-02-09 at 08:22 PM. Reason: Amend text

Any chance this thread might get back to its original purpose (see first post)?
With the same handful of members posting again and again and again, plus the escalating level of digs and sarcasm, I wonder if it is time this thread is closed and a new one started

Well I'm not sure what he has done to put this bee up your behind but in my opinion he seems to talk a lot of sense, to be honest a lot more that you are of late.
I think you need to give it a rest now, he has his opinion and to be fair he has a lot more inside knowedge than you.
I would hate for Sky User to loose a resource like him because someone decides he is an easy target for doing what he does and working were he does.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
Last 48 hours on Connect has been like what i would expect for speeds something like 3 times faster than dial up. Broadband clips required heavy buffering but clips were watchable, pages load completely without having to wait for JPEGS to load and a certain confidence returned to my web surfing every time i visited a webpage.
Honestly, it's like being in the twilight zone. A full 48 hours of pleasure but then i was shook back into reality. A speed of 3 times dial up is not what was advertised or sold to me and it's certainly not something i'd willingly pay for unless i was still in a Sky contract.
I wish Sky would acknowledge that slow speeds aren't just affecting our web browsing, it also affects the download of anti virus definition files etc,it's almost impossible to download these security files on slow speeds. I made some sacrifices to buy the best computer i could afford and i don't want to be in the position of having an infected and useless pc just because Sky won't allow me to download large anti virus definition files.
