Update.
Decided, eventually, to jump ship and deal with the financial consequences as they arise.
Fed up with a sub standard service after 5pm/weekends from Sky Connect.
Have opted for a guaranteed non throttled service and looking forward to using the internet in the proper manner.

@doubleOeck
You haven't been transferred to LLU have you? Samknows doesn't show it enabled yet, but it takes a bit of time to update their database. Have a look at your stats, they will tell you.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
No, you arew still on Connect
This bit "Thu, 2009-02-12 11:54:46 - Receive NTP Reply from ntp1.isp.sky.com" is just your router asking the time server for the correct time

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
I have been reading most of the discussions on Sky BB Connect and the following info may be of some use.(bare with it)
I migrated from Madasafish to Sky on 1st October 2008 and was finally connected to Sky Connect on 18th November. Sky accepted my MAC for Sky Max on the 19th September. After testing they assured me my line was OK. After three weeks of phoning CS daily I was informed Sky could not supply me a BB connection as my line is TPON (fibre optics cable) My exchange is Kingswells Aberdeen. I contacted a very senior Director at BT and with his help, after a few more weeks, was supplied with BB Sky Connect. As far as I am aware this line is supplied through BT's equipment and Sky have NO control over the usage of this BB line. Thus it is BT that "throttle" the connection speeds between 5pm and 9pm and even longer as can be seen from my test results below. If I have been "long winded" I apologize

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
That is true to a point, Sky buy the capacity from BT for their customers, at the moment there is an inbalance, they have too many customer using too much bandwidth. They either need to limit the heavy downloaders or buy more capacity.
The throttling is not getting a chance to do it's thing as there is not enough capacity to go around all of Sky's customers on connect.
It is Sky at fault

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
Hi Smithy99,
I had a conversation with a Sky tech last night initially concerning e-mail not operating. That developed onto Sky Connect and his info was that Sky could not do anything about the reduced speeds and I should contact BT on this with the possibility of running another line (copper) to my home so as to enable me to upgrade to Sky Max. I have yet to contact BT.
