Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
I do think many here are missing the basic point re Connect speeds.
The severe loss of speed after 5pm is not down to your overall usage, i.e 1.4Gb per day or whatever. Many of us have stated that we are low users, I am around 3 Gb PER MONTH! and am still getting slaughtered by poor speeds each evening after 5pm.
If you download a low amount or a high amount we are all affected in the same way, diabolical evening speeds....otherwise known as throttling.

If you are, your problem is unconnected with this thread, start a thread of your own in the Broadband Help section. Remember to post the stats from your router. As you have been on Sky broadband for a while, you will have the DG834GT router. You can obtain the full stats for this router by pressing the Detailed Stats button on this page.- Mel's Notes: Dg834gt-1skuk Copy and paste them to your thread.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
well i spoke to several people last night, each as clueless as the last. given every reason under the sun as to why it drops so much and suddenly at peak times.
was eventually told to contact customer escaltions either by email or post. choosing email as I dont want to wait several days for sky to recieve it and then several more days to get the reply. I sent the email only for it to bounce straight back everytime. seems the email they gave me is incorrectnot what I expect after spending 1 1/2 hours hearing excuses.
will be speaking to them again tonight for all the good it will do me.

Sky will not respond to emails except to refer you to the KANA Form Any complaints/requests have to be made there, or by phone.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
I dont know if its just me but i never used to get throttled until about 6-7pm, now its getting earlier 4:30-5pm and the speeds are becoming even worse too. Lost for words really, its the most disgraceful service ive ever experienced in my life. I would love to see their name tarnished in the main stream press for stuff like this but thats unlikely.

Meh, came back from uni and its still not fixed. Constant disconnects in WoW because of packet loss.
