Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
Well its certainly has got bad on connect now, I first had issues as far back as October with many calls to support(costing me money). In January got so fed up with it and a main fact that made me leave was sky cst telling me it was BT throttling made me leave, icing on the cake blame someone else and deny it was you.
Anyways my advice is for anyone wanting to leave early is to contact them stating the reasons for wanting to leave due to poor peak time speeds etc they may then be willing to release you from the contract early.
An observation about some speeds when I was with sky some ppl could get a 1mg dl speed which should be good for gaming etc the stability of the connection is sooooo bad that it just lags out, its like sky can't even throttle properly.
A ex sky BB user, and glad I am.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
Good luck to all those leaving Sky Connect, obviously no-one apart from Sky would blame you.
Its damned annoying though, as we brought this to their attention weeks ago and still no news / updates.
Remember, you are all still welcome on here, if you decide to jump ship to another ISP~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

What I meant does not matter anymore. If Sky has not got the sense to react then
they deserve the outcome. I am not going to Migrate. I will sit and wait.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
That is the main problem, you cannot have this package (rebadged BTmax) without capacity issues at peak times for the cost you are paying, unless the ISP is prepared to make a loss.
Costs at around £34 per month for 40Gig are about right but who wants to pay that? Not many.
If you want a good service and are willing to pay for it then Zen will be one of the best.
