Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

daytime speed around 6meg. evening speed averages 1.7meg downloading anything is a nightmare.

I've logged a call with Sky which has been escalated, will let you know if I get anything interesting out of them when I get a call back over the next 48hrs.

FYI, Sky said I should be receiving 6meg easy, line syncs no higher than 3008kbps so they've accepted something is massively wrong. Current speedtest is 400kbps. ridiculous.

Do the following:

Enter your phone number (the one that BB is on) and click go.

Then enter your ADSL username. This is the LAN MAC address of your router followed by @skydsl e.g. 001B3F81BEE9@skydsl. Note is must be the LAN MAC not the ADSL MAC and entered without the colons. You'll find the LAN MAC in your router status page so copy and paste it to avoid mistyping.

Thanks a lot mate, i know its offpeak but from that test i got results of;

Your DSL connection rate:

5408 kbps (DOWN-STREAM)
448 kbps (UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 4500 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 4196 kbps

Hope i maintain roughly those speeds at peak times from now on

AAh those were the days, indeed I was in my previous property, moved last month to be greeted by the joy of joys that is Connect. Amended my profile accordingly, apologies for the confusion.

It does seem to be getting better still not there yet. But improving trying to get as many connect Customer on this thread so Sky can see the problem and work out how to solve it.
