That makes it clear your internal wiring/extension is interfering with the connection. Buy fit and use a filtered faceplate to give you the best connection possible.
If you leave the router plugged in where it is your line will stabilise and your speed will increase. This can take from a few hours to 3 days. Be aware that if you put the router back where it was, your speed will go back to what it was.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
Thanks both of you.
I'll probably leave it in the test socket for a few days and check it does rise before buying and fitting the new faceplate.
One question on the faceplate, is it only the master socket that needs changing or all the sockets in the house?

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
Just the master, the faceplate will issolate the BB to the master socket so you dont need filters anywhere else...

....but remember, you must plug into the filtered faceplate, none of your other sockets will receive broadband.

Hi can I ask how long you have been on the connect package. As Isitme say it takes 3 day 72hrs for your Profile to change. You know about the Traffic Management 4pm till Midnight a good Idea if you think your connection is getting really slow between 4pm and Midnight is first use the SkyUser speed tester on this site Sky User - Broadband Speed Tester and if it is slow do a Bt Speed test http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-b...ed-tester.html then copy and paste them to your next post. The Bt speed test is the only test that Sky take any notice off. Hope this has been of some help.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
cheers Steve, my whole line went down last week for about 5 days, Sky thought it was either the router or the line, then the day before the router turned up the line came back up!
am now in the process of trying to get it to sync at a reasonable speed before I either look elsewhere or keep phoning up level 1

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?
You should do an Official BT Test. This will show if your Profile has risen.
