Hi is your exchange Newark Nottinghamshire East Midlands if so are you on Sky Unlimited as this thread is about the connect package which is a Bt re-badged product and not Sky LLU. You can find out by doing a How to get your router statistics Just copy and paste to your next post. If you are going to do speed tests use http://www.skyuser.co.uk/speedtester/ which is more accurate tester.

Hi Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but yes you are on the connect package as there is no LLU at your exchange also the 448kbps upstream is Sky connect. what you need to do is Bt speed tests that is the only speed test that Sky take any notice of http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-b...ed-tester.html you need to do tests when connect is being throttled have a look at this thread and the difference in speeds http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-b...t-rubbish.html Also Sky traffic shape the connect package from 4pm till Midnight. A good idea if you can do a How to test your ADSL in the Master Socket With your Attenuation of 39db you should be getting more on your connection speed but with a noise margin of 5.6db you cannot if your noise margin downstream is better from the test socket at the back of the master socket.Last edited by steve16751; 19-08-10 at 02:55 AM. If you have you will not necessarily see any wires, the main connection is hidden. If you have and it does not work, then it is probably wired incorrectly. The incoming wires should be connected to the A-B terminals on the rear of the second plate. If you don't have a master socket like that in the link, there is not a lot you can do. Removing the wire from terminal 3 on the face plate is about all you can do. This is the ring wire, it is not required and can cause problems.
The only way to fix the drop in speed is to move to another ISP.

Hi where did you get the second set of stats as there is a big difference in your downstream connection speed. A slight difference with the downstream attenuation and noise margin.
