Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

they rang me after i enetered details to check their services in my area

They have a salesman standing by to follow up on web enquires and all they are interested in is making a sale. Anyway if he had stayed on line and said 'oh yes we have a wonderful support service' would you have believed him? They did the same thing when I made a web enquiry some time ago.

With their take-over of Tiscali I think TT became the biggest broadband provider in the UK, so they must be doing something right.

Some times it's so slow, sending a letter by post would be faster than email and drawing on a piece of paper what you think the web page should look like would be faster than waiting for it to load. Yep in a very happy customer

Hi not many are paying the £17.00 quite a few are paying between £5.00 and £10.00 though complaining about the Traffic Management saying it cannot be managing but throttling so if you are paying the full amount that`s I hope it gets better soon

Absolutely pathetic - This is anti-cometitive behaviour from BT as their customers dont experince such harsh degredation (I Swapped from BT to Sky so the same line conditions)

BT are just as bad - went to a mates on a short line in sync @ 8Mbps and getting 6kbps peak times from http...they went from Sky LLU to it as they thought they were getting a better deal!!

Nothing to do with BT! Sky will not pay for sufficient bandwidth, so BT will not supply it. They are in the business of making money, you can't expect them to subsidise a competitor by giving them freebies.

Hi what you have done is leave Bt for a Bt re-badged max product. If you can put in your exchange we will be able to see if your exchange has any ISPs with LLU or you can look yourself on this link SamKnows Broadband - Availability - Exchange Search. Unfortunately I live in the middle of nowhere and it seems that I have an option of BT, BT, BT and BT (the exchange is scheduled for LLU at the end of this year and I dont think anyone will invest in the exchange in the middle-o-the-farm. Tough business call, its a real shame though.
