Connection speed drop - from 8mb to 3mb
We used to get around 800kbps for around 9 months, and suddenly its gone down to around 370kbps. Does anyone know why?
We pay the extra £10 a month for unlimited upto 16mb.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Connection speed drop - from 8mb to 3mb
Can you post your router stats? We can't really say what the issue is without seeing them.

Re: Connection speed drop - from 8mb to 3mb
with an attenuation of 50 there's no WAY you ever had 8Mbps...you using an extentnion?

Re: Connection speed drop - from 8mb to 3mb
Could run a Speedtest on Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test and post the IMG code you see after the test?
This will give us some idea of the speeds you are seeing.Regards

Re: Connection speed drop - from 8mb to 3mb
That looks about right for you Sync and as others have said you wouldn't have 8000kbps (8meg) on your Attenuation as your line is too long.
However I would have thought you would be able to sync around the 5000kbps mark on ADSL2+, but you seem to be on ADSL2? Could you check that in the stats to make sure it doesn't say ADSL2+?Regards
