I cannot get the desktop to operate the router, it stopped working yesterday, the wireless works ok to laptop and other desktop pc, but my pc using ethernet cable Local area connection states on network connection details,it shows values for:
Physical address

But does not show a values for
Default gateway

Re: Desktop to router problem
If the IP address is 192.168.0.x, then the PC is getting its IP address from the router, and the default gateway should be 192.168.0.1.
If the IP address is 169.*.*.* then it is not connecting to the router and you have a problem with your network card, cable or drivers.Last edited by eyemdee; 05-11-07 at 11:32 PM.
