how much can i download before i get capped?

Hi, the thing that concerns me is, how long untill these FUP's seem void, as the technology has advanced so has the media provider's such as films from sky and tv shows from america.. as time goes by everything is done on demand.
Take SKY for an example, are they not themselves starting to providen hardware for you o download show's, sporting events and movies through your broadband line..... so basically if i understand it, they are going to cap how many films or football matches you can watch.......?

Please some one explain to me , how they can implement a FUP with the technology and media being provided in the previous paragraghs being used.

i can't see Sky enforcing it until it gets to the point that bandwidth is going to have a negative effect on others 'light users' - meaning that they're service if effected by the selfishness of a heavy user....

at the mo it would seem the network isn't being hit too badly but with the rate of growth of Sky BB it might change - who knows!!

So after reading all of this am i right in thinking i can download 250gig + and there's little chance of anything being said at all?

Im currently doing about 5gb Per Day and I reckon im on this mother 7 days a week so anything between 100gb-150gb per month is quite normal. I actually spoke to a sky operator and I asked him how much I downloaded and he laughed and said its quite a lot but they didn't seem to bother.

You have to remember if your playing COD for 2-3 hours that's like downloading at full max as COD needs that good FPS rate and I bet most other XBOX and PS3 Games do to.

You also have BBC IPlayer , 4OD and ITV Online TV and I know people who watch it all day through there computers so the future of downloads is only going to get a lot more.

From a technical POV Virgin are laying down Fibre Optics and BT imagine getting 10mb/s when you can easily do a Gb in a couple of minutes .
