Re: 16mb Connection
Some people do get the full 16mb, you may have line errors causing the slight reduction, this can be caused by a number of things including internal extension wiring, posting your detailed router stats might throw some light on the situation.
You could also try plugging the router direct into the test socket behind the face plate of your BT master socket, this will disconnect any extension wiring which will prove if that is causing a problem.Last edited by Koala5; 18-10-07 at 10:08 PM.

Re: 16mb Connection
Doing that has given..
Namesco BroadbandMax Bandwidth speedtest | Test your ADSL connection speed
So there is something wrong with the wiring then..
May as well leave the socket off.
Cheers bud.

Re: 16mb Connection
If you have hard wired extensions then it is worth checking that only pins 2 and 5 have wires connected to them in all sockets including the master face plate, there are sometimes extra ones connected which are not required but can cause problems, also you could get an ADSL Nation filtered faceplate, that gives you a dedicated ADSL socket without having to have dangly filters on all your phones and most people say gives better results.
