Mid To Max?
Hi i just got LLU'ed yesterday from being on sky connect for 7 months i'm exchange Montfort, I got a letter today saying I have been put on MID package, checking router shows upstream of 416kbps, which confirms I am on Mid. I rang up to be put on MAX and was told this is sold out. How can this be? Does changing to MAX involve physical work?. The Montfort exchange was just upgraded on the 1st oct, how can it be sold out?

Re: Mid To Max?
Could be a number of things.
They may be out of capacity already. Last reports we heard Sky were signing up 4.5k new bb customers a day. (unconfirmed)
Maybe the agent does not know the procedure to change you, try ringing again and see if you get the same answer from a different agent?~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Re: Mid To Max?
I thought the Montfort exchange was LLU'd last year, but has always had problems with being 'sold out'. I would say it's a capacity thing.

Re: Mid To Max?
Have you checked your stats to see if you can get ADSL2+ without problems? If you are a long way from the exchange, line length wise, the only advantage will be download limit and upload speed. I think a large number on Max would be no worse off on Mid.

Re: Mid To Max?
Like me !! Max speed I would ever get is 8mb due to distance, so being a tight wad too decided that the extra fiver for max was better in my pocket the $ky's.
Not bothered about less upload speed and am not limiting my downloads just to see how much I actually do, I've read 1st few times you go over it's just a letter anyway.
