Noise Margins
Up until a few days ago I've had no problems with my connection since day one. Now all I get is frequent disconnections and connections which are a lot slower than what I use to get. I have done all the usual tests, have all new filters, and have plugged my router directly to the BT test socket. What I have noticed is when I do lose my connection the sync light on the router never goes out but on the router status page I have lost my IP address etc. Rebooting the router or leaving it off for an hour usually cures it for a short while but never longer than a couple of hours.
Also I have noticed on my landline phone is a lot of hissing and general noise on the line when speaking to people so I wondering if it is a problem with my line.
Heres some stats taken within ten minutes of each other
Down Up
SNR (dB): 12.6 12.0
Attn(dB): 46.0 26.7
Pwr(dBm): 0.9 12.4
Max(Kbps): 2624 640
Down Up
SNR (dB): 16.3 16.5
Attn(dB): 46.0 26.7
Pwr(dBm): 0.9 12.4
Max(Kbps): 2624 640
Down Up
SNR (dB): 0.1 1.1
Attn(dB): 49.0 26.7
Pwr(dBm): 0.9 12.4
Max(Kbps): 797 240
Down Up
SNR (dB): 9.9 10.0
Attn(dB): 47.5 27.5
Pwr(dBm): 921.6 12.4
Max(Kbps): 1616 512
Is this a BT issue or a Sky problem? I'm lost as to who to start ringing.
It also doesn't matter what time of day it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Noise Margins
I think you have answered your own question. If there is hissing on the bt line for voice calls, then you need to report a fault to BT.
If you go to the BT site, it tells you how to run tests on the line.

Re: Noise Margins
If you call BT Don't mention Sky Broadband. only that your voice line is noisy.
