BT don't cap you, they throttle you, i.e., they actually limit the rate between the exchange and Easynet's network (and from there on to the Internet), they don't limit the speed at which your router syncs with the exchange. You're no more or less likely to be getting a reliable connection from a Connect service than you are from a Mid service.Links

but if connect throttle you on connect and sky do not, you still sync the same but get more from sky because they do not throttle ??

must be the way i read the threads, i did think that people who had been on connect seemed to be asking on the forum about there speeds and had been told that teir 2 needed to contact BT about speeds, as the above poster had moved from connect to mid i thought this may have had something to do with his connection now dropping. but as yourself and james have pointed out bt do not do this i stand corrected
