Call logged to BT now no phone connection
I have just switched to Sky BB from BT using a MAC code. My line was activated on the 7/9/07 and i received my router on the 11/9/07. On setting up the equipment i found i wasn't getting an internet connection although the internet light was on on the router. I spoke to Sky and was passed around the departments until one technician did a tone test that failed. The technician said he was passing the call on to BT and the fault should be fixed within 48 hours.
I returned home the next day to find my phone line had gone completely dead. I was wondering if anyone else has had simular problems and if it is worth ringing BT or Sky TS yet or waiting for the 48 hours to expire(the original call to sky where the ticket was raised with BT was made 36 hours ago).
I have checked the BT order tracker and there has been no new entries of work on the line since the original call.
I would be very appreciative of any help and please don't hesitate to ask for further info if required.

Think you might be right about BT just spent half an hour speaking to an answerphone just to be told there's a fault on my line.
I have been told the fault will be fixed by the 17/09/07 but this does not seem good enough when the job was meant to be done within 48 hours.
I am now waiting for a 'real person' to call me back and hope they will be a little more helpful than the answer machine.
Will keep you updated.

Just another update i could do with some help on. I've just had the following appear on my BT order tracking:

The first line sounds like it's the cancellation of BT broadband package however surely that should have been done at the time they attached the sky BB. The other two lines i am unsure of could anyone please help in explaining these.

It took BT three atempts to fix a fault on my line. The first two engineers that came out apparently didn't even check the telegraph pole opposite where my line comes from, so take two guesses where the fault was (apparently a wire had came lose). The third chap that came out couldn't believe that the previous two had even bothered to check it out.

If it was a fault near the DP then the engineers would have been told this as it is something which would have shown up on the line test when the original fault was raised, either lack of training, ignorant engineers or lack of communications. The 3 key issues in most service support arenas
