      Lights on Router box

When I now turn off my computer, the green "1" port light, turns from being green into amber. It does turn back to green, once the computer is turned back on.

I have also unchecked all tick boxes under the Wireless settings, as I am not currently going wireless. I don't know if this would make any difference?

This wasn't happening days ago, and only seems to be after I have installed some Microsoft updates, plus a software update to my Ethernet NIC (which I don't think I can un-install).

Is the router ok, with the light being on amber, whilst the computer is not is use?

      This is the software update:

Realtek - Networking - Realtek RTL8169/8110 Family PCI Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0).

Am totally confused why this should happen??

      Thanks

This has been discussed recently here

Its probably to do with your NIC software update, if its green when your pc is on then its probably not worth worrying about.
      cheers
