I can see why so many ppl are frustrated by this weird setup process Sky have adopted...previous ISPs have sent me my login details and password way before the activation date!
This means that Sky do not know any individuals username/password until they actually log in. Even then I don't know if they can look it up. No doubt one of the Skybods on the forum will correct me if I am wrong

I finally got my router yesterday only to be greeted with connection error 300.
Spent 50 minutes on the phone mostly to Tier 3 before they hung up on me, was not too happy that they didn't call back but I woke up this morning and all was well!
wondered if it may have been cos I had my old 3com router connected while waiting for the sky router....mac addresses etc? who knows! anyways it's working at 5.5Mbps so I'm happy.
