Though I'd bump this thread instead of making a new one, I seem to be having probs downloading off rapidshare lately (free account). It was working fine up until a few days ago, now I get 'limit exceeded' or the 'already downloading a file from your IP' message. Anyone know what the problem could be?

limit exceeded is the file ur trying to download has already had its full allotment of downloads....plus rapidshare is poo
use yousendit instead - its faster

Thanks for the replies, I guess I have no choice then.
By the way IAmNotTheEnemy, as I was using a free account it means I can only download a specific amount, then wait about an hour or two before downloading again. I don't think it has anything to do with full allotment of downloads. And like I said this was never a problem until recently, it won't let me download anything at all.

i don't know whats wrong with it, its been fine to me lately, downloading at roughly 1100-1400kbps.
though, if you pay $6.95? roughly, its £4.88p in the uk, so it is quite cheap, on rapidshare, per month, to download anything that 1 month, gain points by downloading, use points to pay for another month, etc.
how much is yousendit a month? for comparison.

yousendit is free (for files up to 200MB i thnk) - and on my 2MB connection is get 250KB/sec at least at all times....rapidshare varies from over 200 to sub 20KB/sec which is why i dont use it
there are download limits to files though (the number of times a file can be available - not just ur downloads per hour)
