Letter from sky
After reading this forum I was convinced that when you join sky broadband, your username and password are embedded in the router they send you, so unless you do something naughty, you never know your logon details.
I received a letter today thanking me for my order and advising me that a router was being sent to me and also a username and password in a seperate letter. I was to use these details to logon and immediately change my password to one of my choice.
Is this a change of policy?

Re: Letter from sky
The letter that they are sending you will be the username and password that you will use to logonto the sky webportal and the one you use to pick up email etc.
The username and password that is in the router is what your router uses to log itself onto the Sky network and these won't be the same as the one in the letter.
Hope that clears that up.

Re: Letter from sky
Ah!
The letter is very badly worded then, in my opinion.
Looks like I will have to be naughty after all!

Re: Letter from sky
The letter is very badly worded and you would have thought that they would have done something about it by now to make it more clearer.
