Had SKY BB now for 3 weeks, how can I monitor my 40gb Cap?
Hi guys.
Just registered to get a little help here.
I have been with SKY BB now for 3 weeks or so and must say im very very happy after leaving Pipex. Managed to flash my router succesfully and my line is flying on all house pc`s. But I have a question about my 40gb Cap. Is there anyway I can see how much of it I have used? Some people from work have given me some 3rd party programs to use to monitor but is there a way I can see how much I have used in the last 3 weeks?

No not really, this is one of the annoyances users have with Sky. The only thing you can do is install something like Netmeter on all of your PCs and add up the total. No one has yet complained of being punished for exceeding the cap, although this must happen some day.

A third part is app is the only way to do it. I use Net Meter as well because it is a small little program that works quietly in the background.

Bear in mind that if you've got a Mac or if your computer/device is running a non-windows operating system, NetMeter and DUMeter won't be any good!

I use netmeter as mentioned above. Tha DUmeter looks fine but its only a 30day trial then they want money - Netmeter is free and does the job perfectly, and is tiny on disk space/resources

If you installed MCafee it tracks usage on there, though you'll have to reset it every month to get a clear idea.
