Connect vs Base/Mid/Max
What is the difference between Sky Broadband Connect and Sky Base, Mid or Max? I know there's a usage allowance with the Connect product but I was wondering what are the real differences, e.g. up until yesterday my telephone number was letting me choose between either Base, Mid or Max on the Sky website (when deciding which package to join with). Today I only had the choice of Sky Connect. When I joined Sky BB (today) I said Ok to the Connect product without actually thinking about it.
Is there a real difference like, Connect is older, more reliability issues whereas the Base, Mid or Max use a different technology and is newer? The reason why I was offered the Connect product was because the exchange is now full for the Base, Mid or Max products.
Are there any general issues with Sky Connect BB as well?
Thanks!
P.S. I'm new to the site so apologies if this has been answered before!

Re: Connect vs Base/Mid/Max
Basically you will be using BTs equipment if you are going on the Connect package whereby you would be using Skys for the others. I was on Connect before moving to Mid and had very few problems with it.

Re: Connect vs Base/Mid/Max
Thanks, I've been with Pipex for some time and got pretty good service. I do have some issues but I think this is due to my line and distance from the local exchange. This forum seems to have lots of information to make sure everything is Ok at the customer end of the link.
Good to know you didn't have many issues!
