Swapping my time capsule for a Sky Q hub

I'm currently using an Apple time capsule (6 years old) as my router for Sky fibre but now want something with ac support and slightly better range.

I've seen that the Sky Q hub routers aren't too expensive on eBay. What would I need to do to if I wanted to start using one? I assume i'd need to feed some sort of credentials to the new router. Any instructions out there?

      Cheers

I doubt you can change anything on a skyq hub with regards to user credentials. You might want to consider buying your own kit and configuring that directly such as a modem and router and or an all in one.
You might find the qhub may just connect but I have not tried this myself.

I have done this with an sr102 in the past and it did indeed connect so it might not be a problem.

When you did it with the SR102, did you have to do anything with the box e.g. change settings or credentials?

I've seen enough forum threads where people have bought them off ebay and used them, but no one says how.
I also imagine they wouldn't be so popular on eBay if they weren't useful.

you can't change any user details on the sr102.. it's all locked down by sky. I bought one purely to keep in the cupboard in case of line fault or whatever. I did test it though by literally plugging it in, it worked as was.
