      Sky Hub with Time Capsule

Hi all. I have Sky Fibre Pro and prefer to use my Time Capsule rather than the Sky Hub (SR102). I have connected the Time Capsule in Bridge Mode to the Sky Hub (wireless on the sky hub is switched off) but should I switch off DHCP on the Sky Router Settings so that the Time Capsule assigns the IP addresses. My Time Capsule is connected to a n 8prt switch so it is being used for both Ethernet connections an wireless.

      Thanks in advance

depends what your trying to achieve what you have done will work well if your just trying to move the wifi connection off the SR102

The disadvantage is that the SR102 does not have Gigabit Ethernet so any LAN routes that have to go via the SR012 will be limited to 100MB rather than Gigabit. That may not be a problem for you if your not looking at large file transfers or your switch is not gigabit anyway.
You can set the SR102 DMZ to point to the IP address of Apple Time Capsule and set it in DHCP mode. Then the only traffic going to the SR012 is that going in and out of the WAN which is less than 100MB anyway.

Re: Sky Hub with Time Capsule

Thanks Nivek1612 for your reply. My switch is gigabit so I would rather have the Time Capsule, that is connected to the switch deal with all the wired and wireless connections. So from what your saying, its better to set the SR102 DMZ to point to the Time Capsule and then set the Time Capsule to DHCP mode and switch off DHCP on the SR102?

      Thank you.

Re: Sky Hub with Time Capsule

You can leave the dchp running on the SR102 just point the DMZ to the time capsule and put it into DHCP mode
I use 192.168.0.1 for the sr102 and allow it to allocate the range 192.168.0.2-254
i set a static IP of 192.168.0.254 for the other router (time capsule in your case)
then set use the range 192.168.1.2-254 on that router with its address as 192.168.1.1
