Giving my other Black Sky Hub SR101 to someone else?
Hello
I am looking for help with the Black Sky Hub, I was given an extra one due to a problem with my network which has now been Fixed, how do I go about getting rid of it? Can I give/sell it without issue if they also use Sky? Do I need to do anything to it or give them any info?
Thank you.

If Sky have not asked for it to be returned within a reasonable time, then you can dispose of it as you wish.

Sorry what I meant by that was how to actually do it? Do I need to recycle it in a centre or something rather than throwing it in the trash?
If I wanted to sell it or give it away would it work? I know Sky has rules/problems about 3rd party hubs but since this is Sky's own model do I need to do anything? Just plug it in?Last edited by kingofclassy; 20-09-14 at 04:57 PM.

Re: Giving my other Black Sky Hub SR101 to someone else?
Provided it has not been banned, (you can try it on your own line), it should work on any Sky line. If it is Black, it is an SR102 and will work on either ADSL or directly to a fibre line. You can sell it or give it away, provided you inform the buyer/receiver that it will only work on a Sky line you should have no problem. There are dozens of these available on eBay.

Re: Giving my other Black Sky Hub SR101 to someone else?
OK thanks, I know it works on my own line so I doubt it will be banned, it is the Black one: I did some research and someone on another forum said: "The Sky hub will only work on the connection that it is coded to" and that I would need to contact Sky?
I did plug it in for a while so that maybe why they said that? Most of the ones on Ebay seem to be brand new...

"The Sky hub will only work on the connection that it is coded to"
As for your router not being new, you can state with confidence that it will work on any Sky line
