      Fibre All of a Sudden not working! DHCP Client in Progress...

      Hi - I was using my internet last night and noticed that it stopped working all of a sudden.

      My setup is a Billion Bipac 7800N and BT Modem. 7800N is on 1.06h and has been working fine from the first day of fibre activation since 1st of Jan.

      After rebooting both devices I noticed that the 7800N says "DHCP Client in progress".

      Logging into the BT Modem shows the connection as being up.

      Any ideas here?

      Have you tried connecting your Sky router to see if that is working or not?

      Yeah I just tried it now and is not connecting either. Also tried finding my laptop directly to the bt model using pppoe but that didn't work either. An OR engineer is coming out in 2 days

      Good. Hopefully it won't be a painful wait then.

      If the Sky router isn't working wither, then it sounds like you have a line problem.

      Ok so I'm not quite sure what's going on here? I powered off the 7800N last night, but left the BT Modem switched on. I've come home from work and I've switched on the 7800N so that my machines pick up a DHCP address and low and behold, I have internet access. At my full speed.

      What the hell is going on!?

      It is possible that a fault has been corrected.

      Without knowing what the fault was I would not cancel the Engineer visit. It is possible that another engineer was called to someone else's fault and they fixed yours too or it could be that the fault has temporarily fixed due to a change in the weather.
