      Wireless on SR102

      Hello everyone,

Just a quick query, does anyone have any problems with the wireless on the SR102 hub? I have had it for just under a month now and notice that I have frequent problems with the devices connected via WiFi.

Every few minutes, a device that is connected wirelessly will get "Limited Connection" and when trying to ping the hub (192.168.0.1), it times out.

I have changed the wireless channel to one with very little overlap from nearby networks and it hasn't changed anything. Connected via Ethernet is fine, it just appears to affect the wireless. We didn't have this problem with any previous router and nothing has changed in the environment, it's just ever since we've been using the SR102.

We received the latest firmware (2.1q.3595.R) for the hub a few nights ago and that's not made the slightest difference. I'm personally putting it down to the hub being faulty?

I appreciate any help in advance.

      Re: Wireless on SR102

Is it normal for the wireless to go down and show different uptimes to the LAN and WAN?

No, it looks like the router is loosing the wireless connection completely. Unless you have switched the wireless off or changed the security used, this indicates a fault.

As much as I thought. Nothing was switched off/changed. I will contact Sky tomorrow and request for a replacement (hopefully they'll oblige).

      Thanks Tom.

Did you change any of the WiFi settings on Sunday?

For example add something to the Wireless Access list, password or wireless name.

      Re: Wireless on SR102

Haven't altered anything Scubbie. This is a regular occurance with the time resetting itself.

I contacted Sky this evening and the lady on the phone also believes it's a hub related problem.

They are sending a new one.
