      High pings after 8pm

      For the last week or so every night my fibre connection goes horrible after 7:30pm and stays that way until 10:30-11pm. The speeds and ping are all over the place. The hours effected is the only time in the day I can manage to get on the xbox but with the connection like this its impossible to play anything.

      Sounds like the start of exchange congestion given that it is a repeatable pattern.

      I believe there is some way of reporting this, however I am also sure that Sky do actually upgrade their exchanges fairly regularly so this problem will go away.. (eventually)

      I've noticed it myself on my own connection in the past, however after a month or two it goes away. I really can't fault that.

      Sorry I didn't pick this up sooner. I was busy for the last couple of days and just catching up.

      Could you please confirm that the exchange information in your profile is correct?

      I can then find out for you. I'll probably have to wait until Monday for a response now though.

      Hey Scubbie, would you mind checking my exchange too please? - New Southgate/ LNNWS

      My connection takes a fall at peak times. During the day my connection is sold 60mb/s down / 18mb/s up and pings are 15ms.

      Right now its struggling to go beyond 10mb/s down and 7mb/s up and pings are over 70ms

      Ok, a quick update:

      LNNWS, ESSTI,NEHLS, LVWID, MYARM should all be updated over the next 2 to 3 weeks. In some cases it should be sooner, but this is all subject to the completion of the work which may be delayed for a variety of reasons.

      The good news is that Sky are aware that they each have an issue and are working to resolve the problem.

      If you can each each an eye on those quality meters, as well as your own experiences, and let us know when things are working better, it would be appreciated.

      This congestion issue with sky seems to be spreading i hope they get their act together soon
