      I've been having a similar issue over the last week, our connection has been almost perfect for the last six months, but our connection is now extremely laggy starting in early evening until the small hours, Skype and Games are pretty badly affected, and I wonder if it's something I should raise with Sky?

      Here's the monitor for our line, on the Stirling (01786) exchange:

      From that graph you had an issue in the morning, but the evening appears to be clear, although a little busy.

      Could you confirm your exchange code please? In this instance the dialling code isn't narrow enough.

      Hey, our exchange code is ESSTI.

      Here's an up to date graph showing the same thing happening this evening. It's worth noting that the X-axis starts at 10pm - the issues aren't in the morning, it's just presented rather oddly.




      This started happening Saturday past (4th), during the horrible weather when lots of exchanges had problems listed - but ours was clear. Since then it's occured every night, starting around 6 but becoming really obvious by 8PM. We had some issues with a faulty component in the local cabinet when Fibre was first installed just over a year ago, but it's been quite remarkably well behaved until this last week. I was inclined to wait and see if it was just temporary ongoing disruption as a result of all the recent bad weather, but since this thread exists I thought I'd see what vastly more knowledgeable people think.

      Thank you John. That does look like a possible backhaul issue. I have asked for more information and will let you know when I can.

      That exchange has been confirmed as having an issue and should be fixed before the end of this month, if not a little sooner.

      As I have mentioned before, the actual planned date can change due to unforeseen issues, so please understand that an exact date cannot be promised.

      Out of curiosity when they said mine would be fixed soon did they specify any potential timeframe? Just so I have a vague idea when it might pick up.
