      Help needed: HomePlug or WiFi Extender

      Hi all, i'm new to this forum so go easy on me. I'd like a little advice from some of you technical guru's out there. I currently have Sky fibre and am generally happy with it, but we live in a 5 bed detached house and there are a couple of bedrooms that its very tricky to get wifi in. Do i go down the HomePlug route or the WiFi extender route? Which works best and gives off the best results? Also can you advise on any particular model that works well with Fibre speeds either HomePlug or Extender.

      I currently have the SR101 Hub if that helps.

      Any answer will be greatly appreciated and I look forward to reading your replies.

      Thanks for that, i didnt realise they were offering one. I notice it says that Wifi might slow down when the extender is connected!! is that the same with HomePlugs or not?

      In my experience, homeplugs are much more reliable and have better throughput, and I would strongly recommend them over wifi extenders/boosters.
      It does depend on the quality of your home wiring and some complain about potential radio interference, but this is not an issue for me.

      Might as well take advantage of the free Sky booster offer though.

      If it doesn't work out, then get the HomePlugs.

      ive been trying to order one for two days and so far haven't managed to do it .spoke to sky but they cannot do anything it can only be ordered online so i have to keep trying its driving me mad

      What is happening? Do you get some kind of error or does it just not appear in your basket.

      Are you logged in with your primary username or have you tried another browser.

      I am having the same problem. When the redeem button is clicked the offer does not appear, just a blurb about The O2 an three other useless offers. My son has just ordered his on my PC, his order went through first time.

      I meant to add I have tried three different browsers and 2 different PCs.

      Help needed: HomePlug or WiFi Extender

      Must admit it sounds pretty frustrating, both my sister and my better half's father used the offer for the free HUB and both went through without any issues.

      Seems to be related to specific accounts but what the difference between accounts is I don't know.

      I know that one of the issues that was supposedly fixed on the 27th was that people who did not have a TV subscription were unable to use the offer but people that have a TV subs are a different kettle of fish.

      i tried for three days running along with phoning sky in the end on the first of this month it went through now its a waiting game for it to come
