      New Router - Sent SR101??

      Hi,
I have a Sagem Router connected to my Fibre. I asked Sky if they would send me one of the new routers (black ones) but they have sent me a white one (SR101). I have fibre with a BT modem, can i use the new SR102. Not that I am ungrateful, but it would have been nice to receive the most current router available. What benefits are there for using the new SR102 and should i go back an ask for one?

      Merry Christmas everyone.

Other than the fact that you need the BTO Modem with the SR101, there is no other real benefit to using the SR102.

Both the SR101 and SR102 can connect through the BTO Modem, but the SR102 can connect without it as the built-in modem is a VDSL modem.

From my understanding Sky will know what you had previously and are currently only sending out the SR102 to those who already have it.

Re: New Router - Sent SR101??

You are better off with the SR101 as if you want to use your own router at any time, you can. This is not possible with the SR102, you have to buy a separate modem if you want to use your own router.
