      Help with port forwarding

      Hi

      I have recently got Sky Fibre with SR101 router. I am trying to set up port forwarding to another router (Draytek) on my internal network so that I can log into it and use it's WOL facility because the SR101 doesn't seem to allow WOL packets to be passed through it. I cannot log into the Draytek from the internet.

      I can log into my freenas NAS box that is on my network which has port forwarding rules set up. I cannot log into any of the access points on my network including a Motorola wireless access point that I tried setting up as an experiment, as if I can log into it's admin page from internet then logging into the Draytek should work as well.

      Below is log from SR-101 showing successful log into Freenas box and unsuccessful log into Motorola box

      Nov 10 22:26:35 syslog: always->FREENASTORRIN=eth3 OUT= MAC=7c:4c:a5:ab:0d:3a:00:00:00:06:06:06:08:00 SRC=213.205.229.213 DST=151.231.63.49 LEN=64 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=53 ID=46934 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=30038 DPT=6886 WINDOW=65535 RE
      Nov 10 22:26:44 syslog: always->MotorolaIN=eth3 OUT= MAC=7c:4c:a5:ab:0d:3a:00:00:00:06:06:06:08:00 SRC=213.205.229.213 DST=151.231.63.49 LEN=64 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=53 ID=39712 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=30039 DPT=6888 WINDOW=65535 RES=0

      The only difference I can see at end of each end of each line is "RE" at end of the Freenas login and RES=0 at end of the unsuccessful Motorola login attempt.

      Does anyone know why I cannot log into the Motorola admin page but can login to my FreeNAS box?

      Just after a way of using WOL over the internet.

      Many thanks

      Re: Help with port forwarding

      When you say you are using the Port Forwarding, do you actually mean that you are using the Port Forwarding or DMZ Server setting?

      There are a couple of things to note:

      The Sky router may be intercepting port 81 for itself as you could set it up so that port 81 will access the Sky Hub's GUI from an external connection.

      Also do take a look at the guide here: Port forwarding - Setting up Port forwarding (use existing & set up custom services)

      Previously Sky Fibre & Sky BB since 2010.
