Problems With Fibre Hub and Airport Express

Hi - have just upgraded to Sky Fibre and have the new Hub installed. I have 2 Airport Express which I use for audio streaming to external speakers from iTunes. They worked perfectly on previous Sky Broadband but since installing the Fibre Hub, they keep dropping out whilst playing music. The problem is intermittent and they usually reconnect, but it's impossible to listen to music over them as it is happening every minute or so.

I've read that the Fibre Hub uses an authentication system which is incompatible with other routers, but is this the issue I'm having with Airport Express as a wifi bridge ?

      Any thoughts ?

      Thanks

      Andy

Although some may disagree, I don't think the Hub's automatic channel selection works as it should. If it is continually hunting for alternate channels this could cause the drop outs you are experiencing. Try setting the hub to use a single channel and see if that helps. Download and install Inssider, link below, to find your best channel*. You could try Channel 13 for a start as few use it.

      * If you don't have a Windows machine there will be something similar available for Macs,

inSSIDer is available for Macs, via the Mac app store.
