Give Sky credit when it's due

Rang Sky 2 weeks ago to see what deals were being offered to current customers. Bearing in mind 2 months ago I had 200 credited to my account for my fibre half speed issues which was finally resolved.
Sky offered my 6 months free fibre and 5% off my tv package for 6 months as well.
This week I helped my daughter upgrade her package to sky fibre and negotiate a new tv deal. This time Sky offered a free install and 6 months free fibre and 10% off her tv package for 12 months.
I must point out though her adsl unlimited had been a pain over the last 3 years and the intermittent fault only cleared up after BT replaced the cable from her house to the cabinet. This was well documented and obviously helped with the offer Sky came up with.
So for once, thank you Sky on behalf of myself and my daughter.

I presume this was from the cancel Sky option on the phone?

Indeed. Customer service put me through to cancellations having exhausted their offers. I didn't have to ask they just said maybe "cancellations" can help. All very painless and civilised.

      Tut-tut, naughty-naughty!
      They shouldn't be suggesting this!

But sometimes it is for the best for the customer so as long as you are happy to stay, that's all that really matters.
