Help, poor wifi no on demand

Over the last few weeks I have had really slow Internet via wifi on laptop and iPhone.
my sky hd box is wired to router and it rarely works for on demand, it keeps freezing and saying programme info not available. On options and network it says failed connection.

i have 3 green lights on the open reach modem, and 4 green lights on the sky hub.
when I do speedtest over wifi I get 30 down and 9 up. I am on sky fibre.

sky sent a new hub out last week and its exactly the same. On demand took 2 hrs to download SD 750mb programme.

anyone any ideas, seems odd both wired and wireless connections are very poor but yet speed net test is good.

      Hi bman1981,
      Welcome to the Forum.
If you switch wi-fi off at the router and disconnect everything connected to it by ethernet except for your Sky box does the download time for On Demand programmes improve?
If not could you try replacing the ethernet cable between your Sky box and the router to see if that makes a difference?

I'm probably the wrong person to ask as I don't have Sky broadband but if you sign in to the router's web page at http://192.168.0.1 with user "admin" and password "sky" (I'm assuming defaults). Using the menus you should be able to find the correct setting to switch the wi-fi off.

Help, poor wifi no on demand

      Hi
I would also try speedtest using a laptop hard wired.
If you are getting good wireless speeds ( people here are usually moaning slow wireless) I concur it's either a dodgy Ethernet cable, hence test it on a pc. If you get good speed on pc both wired and wireless, it was even just a dodgy download or perhaps your Sky HD box gone.
