      New Sky Hub in September

Hi first off sorry if this has been mentioned before. Ive had a search but couldnt find any info on it.

Ive just come off the phone with a member of the sky fibre team and he has informed me that the new sky hub will be coming out in september
this is the one with the built in VDSL modem.
It sounds that it could be very similar to the new BT home hub 5. (fingers crossed for Gigabit Ethernet ports)
He also said that it should be coming out at 69.99 and maybe they will be doing their free hub with a 12 month contract renewal.
Just thought id let you all know and once again sorry if this has been covered before.

Does that mean you will be waiting until September to place your order for Sky Fibre?

Re: New Sky Hub in September

Well, the other thread, http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-b...e-hub-5-a.html, has been discussing people in the beta test group breaking the NDA by posting potential specs of the new hub, but it looks like Sky staff are getting briefed on this already ...

The Sky Hub 2 (SR102) received a 'WiFi Certified' certificate on 21st June. The certificate is available to view on the 'WiFi Alliance' website:

Correct - it would appear to be no 5GHz, but twin channel 2.4GHz.

Re: New Sky Hub in September

That's odd. That certificate is dated March 2013. Did they release a new version or delayed the certification?

So, does it look like the Hub 2 will still have a max wi-fi transfer rate of 144Mbps as it's specs are identical to the Hub 1?
