Well lets hope sky launch the SR102 soon, and stop all the speculation. Looks like the only difference is intigrated modem and ghg outputs (all speculation).
BT will be rubbing there nose in it if so with BT Sports for free and Multi- band AC Wireless router soon available for free.

Re: New Sky Hub in September

Even *if* there are gigabit ethernet ports on the new hub, the wi-fi specs just aren't encouraging. I'm not sure whether the 2 channels will operate at a higher speed than the Hub 1, but on the face of it both Virgin and BT are way ahead in what they are offering. A Hub 3 will be another year or so away and by that time the other ISPs could easily catch up and overtake Sky's offering.

Obviously we're all speculating until it's announced!

If the wifi specs aren't encouraging then I would think there's little hope for gigabit ethernet ports either?

So, the current hub has 2 spatial streams, but is only working on a single channel?

Possibly, although generally 40mhz mode is pretty useless in 2.4ghz anyway

Maybe they will in the future & offer a selection, such as back, streaky & smokey.
Could team up & make them with Hewlett Packard.

      New Sky Hub in September

A better solution, I think, would be allow users to use their own, but only support them if from an approved list.

It's supposed to be coming, although it will be unsupported (I.e they'd ask you to plug theirs back in if you have problems)
