I really hope those two posts aren't giving the entire game away. If all they've done is add in a VDSL modem I think there's going to be quite a few miffed people out there.

Those D6300 specs look rather good. Any beta testers reading - push the spec under Sky's nose

I can assure you that in the SR101 Beta group we quizzed them for 300mbps on both frequencies and 1Gbit Ethernet ports for a future model.

Of course we had come in at a late stage of the development of the Sky Hub SR101 so it was far too late to change things.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

Let's hope they passed on your feedback and it's not a new bunch. It's amazing how lessons learnt/feedback seems to get lost the next time around.

      I believe it was.

What worries me are the rumours circulating about the new Hub. What I do know though is that the development time from conception to launch isn't overnight. It is likely to have taken more than a year to get where they are with this new one.

Ultimately we shall see when it is launched.

Sky seem to be 2 generations behind either - but I don't know anything about the Sky Hub2.
From what's been leaked so far, it's just a black version of SR101 with an integrated VDSL modem. So nothing ground breaking sadly.

      BT Home Hub 5

Pointless in my view if all they have done is swap the adsl modem for a vdsl one.

Personally I like having a separate modem as it gives me the ability to reboot/swap my router as I see fit

Shocking how people clearly don't understand what a non disclosure agreement actually means.....

It is kinda shocking to see someone out information true or not true, but again i dont understand how someone cannot just keep things to themselves..

@andrewjr Guess its their idea to allow self installs, like BT are trying to do with their new hub.
