      Solid red power LED on Openreach modem

      I woke up this morning with a local wifi connection to all devices but no internet connection. My phone had a notification asking me to sign in to my wifi connection but when I tried I was just presented with the built-in troubleshooter on the Sky Hub.

      I went downstairs and saw that the Power LED on the Openreach modem was solid red. The DSL light wasn't lit at all. The LAN1 light was green.

      I tried restarting both the modem and the router several times but couldn't get the power LED to switch from red to green.

      I've done some online searches and I can't find anyone else who's had the power LED go red on the Openreach modem!

      Any ideas?

      What make and model is your modem?

      Looking at photos online I believe it's the Huawei HG612 (I'll double check this when I get home tonight)

      Correction.. It's an ECI B-FOCuS V-2FUb/r Rev.B

      Phoned sky and they're sending an engineer around. They seem to think the modem is goosed.

      Does sound like that's probably the case.
